Cannot Send SMS or WhatsApp Receipts
Customers aren't getting receipts. Here's why.
Receipts failing to send usually point to a small config issue on the customer or business side.
When to use this
When customers complain they didn't get their receipt.
Step-by-step
- Check customer phone number. Must include country code, e.g. 237 6XX XXX XXX.
- Check credits. Settings > Notifications > SMS Credits.
- Check WhatsApp setup. Business number must be verified.
- Open notification log. Find the receipt; read the error.
- Test with your own number. Confirms service is working.
Common issues
- Out of SMS credits: buy a credit pack.
- Wrong number format: update the customer record.
- WhatsApp not verified: complete the WhatsApp Business verification.
