Cannot Send SMS or WhatsApp Receipts

Customers aren't getting receipts. Here's why.

Receipts failing to send usually point to a small config issue on the customer or business side.

When to use this

When customers complain they didn't get their receipt.

Step-by-step

  1. Check customer phone number. Must include country code, e.g. 237 6XX XXX XXX.
  2. Check credits. Settings > Notifications > SMS Credits.
  3. Check WhatsApp setup. Business number must be verified.
  4. Open notification log. Find the receipt; read the error.
  5. Test with your own number. Confirms service is working.

Common issues

  • Out of SMS credits: buy a credit pack.
  • Wrong number format: update the customer record.
  • WhatsApp not verified: complete the WhatsApp Business verification.
