Stock Movements and the Audit Trail
See every change in stock and who made it.
Every change to stock creates a movement record. Together they form an audit trail you can trust.
When to use this
When a count does not match the system, when investigating shrinkage, or when training a new manager.
Step-by-step
- Open Stock Movements. From the dashboard.
- Filter. By product, branch, user, date range, or movement type.
- Review entries. Each shows quantity before and after.
- Export if needed. Download as CSV for accounting.
Common issues
- Stock went negative: a sale happened while stock was not yet received. Do a purchase entry to correct.
- Unknown adjustment: check the user column. Ask that staff member what happened.
