Hardware-Specific Roles (Delivery Agent, Quotation Manager)
Give each staff member only the permissions they need.
Hardware stores often need roles beyond cashier and manager. SmartSell provides targeted roles so each person sees only what they need.
When to use this
Use these roles when you have dedicated delivery drivers, a sales rep handling devis, or a warehouse keeper.
Step-by-step
- Open Team. Go to Team > Staff.
- Edit the staff member. Or tap Add Staff.
- Assign roles. Tick Delivery Agent, Quotation Manager, Cashier, or others as needed.
- Pick a branch. Roles apply per branch.
- Save. The staff member sees the right screens at next login.
Common issues
- Staff cannot see deliveries: they do not have the Delivery Agent role on that branch.
- Cannot convert a quotation: Quotation Manager can create; only Manager or Cashier can convert. Give them the additional role.
