Troubleshooting POS Bootstrap Issues
When the POS screen gets stuck loading or fails to open.
Bootstrap is the first step when you open the POS: it loads your catalog, customers and prices onto the device.
When to use this
When the POS shows a spinner forever, or when you see a bootstrap error.
Step-by-step
- Check internet. First login needs a connection.
- Select a branch. POS will not bootstrap without one.
- Pull to refresh. Swipe down on the POS screen to retry.
- Log out and back in. This resets the bootstrap cache.
- Clear app cache. Phone Settings > Apps > SmartSell > Clear Cache.
Common issues
- Token expired: log out and log in again with your phone and password.
- Slow network: wait up to 30 seconds, especially on first load.
