Working Offline: What Syncs and What Doesn't
Understand pending sales, local cart, and background sync.
SmartSell keeps selling even when the internet drops. Knowing what does and does not sync helps you plan.
When to use this
Read this if you work in areas with unstable connectivity or during network outages.
Step-by-step
- Works offline. Product search, sales, cart, credit sales, rentals, customer creation.
- Syncs later. Sales, payments and new customers upload when you are back online.
- Does not work offline. First login, stock transfers, reports, staff changes.
- Check pending count. The badge on the POS toolbar shows how many records are waiting.
- Sync manually. Tap the Sync button when you regain connection.
Common issues
- Stock went negative after sync: you sold offline while another device was also selling. Do a stock count to reconcile.
- Pending never clears: a record has an error. Tap it to see the reason.
