Set Up Low-Stock Alerts and Reorder Points

Be notified before you run out of a product.

A low-stock alert warns you when a product is about to run out so you can reorder in time.

When to use this

Set alerts on fast-moving products and on items with long delivery lead times.

Step-by-step

  1. Open the product.
  2. Set Reorder Point. For example 10 for an item you never want below 10 in stock.
  3. Optional: set Reorder Quantity. How much to buy each time.
  4. Save.
  5. Choose recipients. Go to Notifications > Stock Alerts and pick staff who should receive alerts.

Common issues

  • No alert received: the staff member is not in the recipients list, or notifications are off.
  • Too many alerts: raise the reorder point for fast items or batch alerts in Notification Settings.
